SPIN - or Screen Pop-up Integration - offers a simple-to-implement and easy-to-use component to help pop-up
screens for all sorts of software. Whatever software you are using - from the leading CRMs and ERPs to a simple
in-house written application (or a complex one), SPIN offers a standard ACTIVEX interface for this purpose.
Most PBX vendors have adopted Microsoft's TAPI protocol for application integration. However, each vendor
has developed it's own TSP - TAPI Service Provider. And the ways the protocol was implemented of the vendor's
PBX and servers differ. That's where SPIN comes in - a proven, working component, tried, tested and stress-tested
with all these PBXs.
Since SPIN uses the original Microsoft DLL, no installation of other software is required. Just use the ACTIVEX in
your development environment or CRM, and start popping-up screens right and left...
SPIN delivers all that's needed for integration: DNIS - the number your customer actually dialed to reach you, CLID
- your customers' number (call identification) and any other data, such as the choices your customers made when they
were using your IVR (TAPI-compatible IVR required). It is also possible to pop-up the screen before
you pick up the phone...
If your software is web-based, it's even simpler: you can configure SPIN to call a new browser screen with your URL,
posting the parameters as part of the URL call. using Internet Explorer, you can use this mechanism to open files, run
EXE applications, and so forth.
SPIN is popping-up screen in thousands of PCs in Israel. It's easier to handle the call, when you know who's calling!
